Benefits of Ghee

Nutrition

Ghee is one of the most ancient foods of India. It is a superfood and should be a part of every meal we eat.

However, the real benefits of ghee can be derived only if ghee is prepared the right way, from the purest of milk available.

A2 cow milk which is from grass-fed cows, is the best milk to prepare the ghee from. And the ancient vedic method to prepare ghee is known as the ‘Bilona’ method, or wood-churning method. Such ghee is full of good fats and nutrients like omega-3 and butyric acid which boosts our immunity and reduces inflammation in the body.

Also, people who are intolerant to lactose or dairy, can also safely consume ghee because the preparation process removes the lactose and damaging protein from the milk.

If you don’t have access to Bilona ghee, you can also make ghee at home, but make sure that you use raw A2 milk from grassfed cows only.

The packaged ghee in the market is not pure, and is contaminated with lot of hydrogenated fat which can do more harm than good, to your health. So, make some effort, and find the right source to buy your milk and ghee from.
